Stars, Stripes & Stitches: Weaving America’s Flag (For Grades K-5)
Details: Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a hands-on history adventure! Kids will learn about Betsy Ross and the story behind the American flag. Then, youngsters will create their own patriotic artwork by weaving red, white, and blue ribbons into burlap. This keepsake craft combines early American history with fine motor skills as children explore patterns, textures, and symbolism while honoring this milestone anniversary of the United States.
New Balance Fourth of July Run
Come celebrate summer and the Fourth of July with Vark and New Balance for a cookout run! Run 3-4 miles or walk 1-2 miles before hanging out with friends, playing games, and enjoying some ice pops! Dress in your red, white, and blue best for a chance to win a prize! All are welcome!

Singo: Patriotic Bingo & Sing Along
Details: In honor of America’s 250th birthday join us for PATRIOTIC BINGO in the library’s multipurpose room. The library will supply all items needed for our low-key Bingo games. We will even play a variation including patriotic songs where you list patriotic songs on your Bingo card and match it to the song that is being played and yes singing is encouraged. Prizes will be awarded!

July 3rd
Independence Day Celebration at SteelStacks
Details: The free Independence Day festivities will include a full afternoon of musical events, accompanied by delicious food vendors. This event will be the last chance to view the Hometown Heroes 2026 banner that debuted over 1,900 photos of local military veterans on Memorial Day. The SteelStacks campus serves as the perfect spot to view a dazzling fireworks display put on by the City of Bethlehem at 9:20 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

All-American thrills are waiting for you at Dorney Park as we celebrate Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&M’S®, Allentown’s most breathtaking 4th of July event of the year! The night’s sky will be painted with bright, colorful lights, and the air will fill with patriotic music and sounds of celebration, creating an unforgettable experience for all ages.
Celebrate summer with all that Dorney Park has to offer — fireworks aren’t the only thing blasting off this 4th of July! Tackle the award-winning roller coaster Iron Menace or soar head over heels on Talon this summer. Plus, enjoy thrilling slides, splashes, and sun-sparkling water at Wildwater Kingdom Waterpark.
Join us July 3-5 for a day of thrills and splashes before the sun goes down, and a can’t-miss, dazzling firework spectacular in the night — only at Dorney Park.
Fireworks and other special events and entertainment are scheduled for specific durations and times; all entertainment during Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&M’S® is weather permitting and subject to change. Select rides may be scheduled to close early in preparation for the fireworks.
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are excited to introduce Liberty Ignited, the region’s largest drone and fireworks show ever in partnership with Discover Lehigh Valley®, Lehigh County, and America250PA, slated to blast off on July 3rd in celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

City of Allentown 4th of July Celebration
Details: Celebrate July 4th with the City of Allentown at Cedar Beach Park! Enjoy a full day of family-friendly fun, live entertainment, delicious food, local vendors, and a spectacular fireworks display launched from nearby J. Birney Crum Stadium. This beloved community tradition is the perfect way to spend the holiday and celebrate with your neighbors.
Nazareth Celebrates America 250 Festival
Join us for the Nazareth Celebrates America 250 Festival on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in celebration of the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding. The day will commence with Nazareth’s Annual Kazoo Parade at 9:00 a.m., featuring the Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps, as participants march from the Nazareth Area High School to the historic Whitefield House, playing patriotic tunes. The festival offers a wealth of old-fashioned fun, including a patriotic program honoring veterans, colonial demonstrations, and local celebrities.
Enjoy highlights such as free tethered hot-air balloon rides (weather permitting) from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., performances by popular local bands TimeWhys and the Craig Thatcher Quartet, and an expanded Nazareth Farmers Market at the Moravian Historical Society, showcasing various vendors. Kids can partake in free patriotic activities, including games, crafts, and presentations from the Nazareth Area School District's Fifth Grade Colonial Days Projects.
Parking is free at the Nazareth Area High School, with a shuttle bus service to the Moravian Historical Society. Special thanks to presenting sponsor C.F.
